• How do I get a gift certificate?

    You can always come by and pick up a gift certificate, but you’ll need to call me first to arrange it.

    If you call me, I can take your credit card details over the phone and then email you a printable gift certificate with a personal message. Gift giving couldn’t be easier!

    You probably know not to put your credit card details in an email to me, but I’m mentioning that it’s not a good idea, just in case! :)

  • How do you determine which treatments and products are best for me?

    Your care really is custom care at The Woodway.

    To figure out how best to serve you, we talk about what you’re currently doing for your skin or nails, and then I examine them and make recommendations based upon my knowledge and what I can do for you within my scope of practice.

    If I think you require the services of another practitioner or a physician, I’ll tell you.

    Having studied product ingredients, and because I have a lot of raw ingredients here, I can also help you understand what’s in your home care products.

    I also make quite a few products, including a variety of soaps and deodorants, and I can custom blend oils for your face and body.

    I also love doing research. So, if you’ve got questions, let me know. If I can’t answer them straight away, I promise I’ll find the answers.

  • Is tipping appropriate?

    The Woodway has always had a no tipping policy. The price you see, plus applicable taxes, is all that you pay. Isn’t that relaxing? :)

  • How early should I arrive?

    I suggest you arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow time for filling out The Woodway health form. You can relax in the comfortable lobby. For subsequent visits, it’s great if you can arrive on time. 😉

  • What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

    No worries! Please contact me as soon as possible, if you can’t make your appointment, and we’ll reschedule.

  • Can you accommodate groups of people?

    Sorry, I can’t. The Woodway is designed to serve one guest at a time. This ensures high quality, personal service. However, if you want to bring a friend to visit with during your service, please do.

  • Why is it necessary to fill out a confidential health questionnaire?

    Some esthetic services aren’t appropriate for certain individuals. A health questionnaire enables me to properly advise you.

  • Are children welcome?

    The Woodway isn’t a great place for little kids. There are too many dangerous things around and it’s boring for them, so they’re never at their best.

    Do yourself and your kids a favour and find someone to look after them during your visit. :)

    If you’re under 16, you need a parent or guardian’s signature for services.

  • Where we are

    Located at 2002 Woodway Avenue, Beacon Hill North in east Ottawa, a short walk from the 124 and 24 bus stop on Quincy Street. Off-street parking available.

    When you arrive at The Woodway follow the path to the right. It will take you to the side of the building where there is a door that leads to the spa. Come on in and make yourself comfortable in the waiting room.

  • Returns and Complaints

    I will always aim to make you happy here but if you’re not happy I want to know.

    If you buy something and then decide you don’t want it, you can return it to me unopened within 10 days for a refund or credit.

    And if ever you feel unhappy about the treatment you received I want you to tell me. I will do whatever I can to make things right for you.

    Your well-being and satisfaction are genuinely important to me. Excellent service is what The Woodway is all about!

  • On-line Booking and Reservations

    Reservations are recommended, but same day appointments are sometimes available. Please contact heather@woodwayesthetics.com or call 613-422-9435.

    Please allow 24 hours for e-mail appointment confirmation.

  • Cancellations

    If you can’t make it to your appointment, I’d really appreciate it if you could call me ASAP. But if you just can’t make it, and you’ve got to cancel at the last minute, just give me a call and we’ll reschedule.

  • Payment Methods

    The Woodway accepts Interac, VISA, MasterCard and American Express and cash.

  • What should I wear?

    Wear whatever you’re comfortable in. You’ll be supplied with a wrap for facials.

    During body services, appropriate draping practices are always observed for your privacy and comfort.

  • Do I have to make an appointment?

    Yes, walk-in appointments are not possible.

    I recommend booking your service a week or two in advance, however, same day appointments may be available.
